Scarsdale – Story Book

This project’s design emerged as an effort to create a state-of-the-art house that would fit well in a neighborhood of mostly pre World War II Tudor style and Colonial homes.

A narrow lot presented unique challenges but also opportunities. The house was set-back from the street achieving privacy and elegance. The garage structure became a focal point.

Internally, a wonderful breezeway was designed to lead from the garage to the house. A household management area, with storage, pantry and a work desk was incorporated to best utilize the space that connects the breezeway with the kitchen.  Other special features include a family room that opens to a covered porch with dual fuel burning chimney, a separate wing for the master suite and a very large lower level with room for multiple activities.
